No, don't worry. We're not branching out. At least not *that* much. But for the October Challenge we want you to write an OC - an original character within the LOTR-universe.

The possibilities are virtually endless: How about trying to figure out who Legolas mother was? How about describing Thorongil's relationship to the soldiers he commanded in Gondor? How about imagining the life of a servant in Minas Tirith's Citadel after the King comes back? How about writing about rangers, elves, hobbits, soldiers that are never named in the books? If you ever felt, you know the LOTR-characters inside out and need a new challenge, then the new Teitho should be right up your alley!

Of course our usual rules still apply. Get Aragorn and/or Legolas in there somewhere, but apart from that it's you call: Do you want your OC to be a supporting character? Do you want him to be the protagonist of the story? It's entirely up to you. Feel free to populate Middle Earth as you see fit!

And here are the winners for this challenge:

An Act of Kindness by Calenlass Greenleaf
A Silent Pool of Water by Allee
By Example by Periphery 3rd place
I am Hunter by Yuggster 1rst place
I am of the House of Eorl by Nieriel Raina
Leave the Dead by Sivan
Maybe Later by Liek
Needle in the Dark by Beth
Neighbours and Friends by Linda Warren
One Day in Summer by White Wolf
The Gathering by Alina 3rd place
The Taming of the Badger by Pentangle 2nd place
What King is This? by Elemmire 3rd place

Thank you all for your participation!

Your Teitho-moderators,
Alina & Michelle
