One Title: Your Story

Friends in Small Places

For August our theme for the challenge will be Skills.

What kind of skills do our heroes possess? Did they have to learn them or were they simply born with them? How do you get along when you lack a certain skill? What happens when you think you lack a certain skill? Which skill would be most important in the wilds and why? And which might be amusing but unnecessary?

Show us why Aragorn is a skilled swordsman or show us why Legolas is a skilled archer! Show us whether Aragorn is a skilled cook - or maybe that is one of the skills he lacks? Imagine, all the little elflings in Greenwood could talk to the trees - only Legolas could not. Imagine, all the elves in Rivendell are great fighters and only young Estel trips over his feet time and again.

The possibilities are virtually endless. The skill you are describing might be as important or superfluous as you like - but it must play a central part in your story. Apart from that you have free reign. Make it funny, make it dramatic - it's your choice!
