It is time for a technical challenge once again, therefore the theme
for September is Me, Myself and I. Or, to make it a little more
plain: First person.
Tolkien fiction is, more often than not, written in third person. So
let September be the month where we change that. This time around you
can come up with anything you like, as long as it is written in first
person. Make it a monologue, a letter, a diary entry or simply a tale
told in first person. Have Aragorn muse on his destiny. Have Legolas
wander through Mirkwood muttering to himself. Have an original character
meet our heroes. Have Elrond give them a lecture. You choose!
First person is a great way to get into a character's head, so don't
let that chance pass by! Apart from the first person you have free reign
where plot is concerned - as long as you stick to our usual rules.
