The year is slowly ending once again. Only one month to go and 2007
will be history. That's a time to reminisce about the past and ponder
about the future. Therefore, our theme for December will be As Time
Goes By.
Of course a theme like this is tailor-made for Middle Earth. Think
of the elves who see whole ages pass before their eyes. How does one
cope with such an experience? Does it make you stronger or does it break
you? Think of Frodo, whose time on the quest changes him profoundly.
Think of Aragorn, who as a Numenorean lives longer than most and has
the chance to experience more - and lose more.
Feel free to write a story especially for the season: about New Year-resolutions
for instance or the changing of the year. How would elves or rangers
celebrate that? Or write a story where time plays a more general role:
the passing of time and how that affects the characters.
