The challenge for April is to write a story around the theme Well-laid Plans.

Do you think Aragorn was a good planner? He certainly managed to rule a whole kingdom without too many missteps (that we know of). Maybe he has a natural talent for planning and strategic thinking, or maybe it was a hard-learned lesson.

This month we challenge you to write a story around a plan. It may be something truly simply or it may be something as big as a battle tactic. You choose! Show us the successful execution of a well-laid plan or write a story about the total failure of a plan that sounded promising in the beginning. Give us heroic men brooding over maps or making plans in the light of a camp fire. Make it dramatic or make it funny - it's totally up to you!

Here are the winners:

Exciting Prospects by Aranel
Surprise by StarLight 1rst place
The Gift by Aeärwen 2nd place
The Qualities of a Ranger by Calenlass Greenleaf 3rd place
