For October, the theme of the challenge will be Healing. It is quite easy to break something or to hurt someone: a moment of inattention or a few ill-chosen words can be enough to shatter something precious. It is much harder to heal what was broken. Sometimes it's impossible. For this challenge, we want you to focus on this process of healing.

Feel free to take this challenge literally: Write a hurt/comfort story focusing not so much on the hurt, but on the comfort. Get all the arrows, swords, knives, potions and teas you can think of and write a story about healing. Show us Aragorn's healing hands or give us a glimpse of Elrond's sickroom!

You could also write a story about healing a friendship, or healing the relationship between two countries. Or you tell us what happens when something cannot heal, with whatever consequences that entails. Interpret the theme Healing in any way you see fit!

There are lots of winners this time around. Congrats to all!
