There are not many days of 2008 left, so we better start saying goodbye
to the old year and prepare to welcome the new one! Therefore, the theme
for January is Leavetaking.
For this challenge, write a story that somehow evolves around that
taking leave. Write about farewells, goodbyes or leaving behind people
or places. How exactly you interpret that term Leavetaking is, of course,
up to you. You could write about Aragorn leaving Rivendell to take up
his place among the rangers. You could write about Legolas taking a
ship to the Undying Lands. You could write a farewell scene between
friends, family or lovers.
