The challenge for February will be Excuses in all possible forms.

Let's face it: Even if we try out best, it's virtually impossible to get through life without disagreements or fights - normally with the people we most love. But without those fights we wouldn't have the opportunity to apologize and feel better about the whole situation. We wouldn't be able to make up. And Tolkien's characters probably aren't any better: Humans, elves, dwarved, hobbits - of course there are conflicts and hopefully our favourite characters are able to overcome these differences.

Of course, you could also write about someone making excuses for a situation or behaviour. Would those believable? Or even warranted? You decide... and hopefully you will let us know all about it.

And here are the winners:

A Mortal Choice by KyMahalei 1rst place
"I Hate You!" by Telcontar 3rd place
No Excuse by Nosterineth
The White Flower by Mirach 3rd place
What Dawn May Bring by Jedi Sapphire 2nd place
