Let's have a look at the new challenge for March: Eat, Drink and
Be Merry!
Tolkien's world is all about different cultures and a big part of every
culture is food, so it's high time we took a closer look during one
of our Teitho challenges and try to find answers to some burning questions:
Is Elven food different from what humans eat? How do dwarves get their
vitamins? Can an elf get drunk? Do the people in Harad eat baked mumakil?
In how many ways can a hobbit cook rabbit? And the most important question
of all: Does Middle Earth have chocolate?
We challenge you to write about food and drink, about what different
cultures eat and drink, about how food is prepared or even about sowing,
reaping or famines. Write about feasts or parties or drinking games!
Of course there are also quite a few culinary delicacies that you can
only get in Middle Earth: lembas, cram or Dorwinion are only a few.
If you want to read up on special ME-related food, you can do so here
- maybe you'll be inspired!
