The September/October challenge was entitled "Boo!"
"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and
strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." (H. P. Lovecraft)
Ghosts - ghouls - vampires...
It is the dark time of the year and not all is well in Middle Earth. Fog
is rising and screams echo across the plains, doors creek and age-old
cellars open to reveal their horrors - and we want you, yes YOU to sit
down and write what happens to Aragorn and/or Legolas.
It has to be a spooky story - everything else (within the limits of our
usual guidelines) is up to you! We dare you to scare us, make the hair
rise at the back of our necks and make us turn on the lights at night...
Halloween, All Hallow's Eve, Samhain - we're approaching the time of
year when spirits and ghost run free (sometimes in the form of kids
who demand sweets *g*). So get in the spirit by writing us a scary story!
